‘OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT YOUR TOYS’

This is the statement of Senator Risa Hontiveros during the hearing of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality after the arrest of two foreign defendants Thomas Scheuer and Stephen Geoffrey Lund in Cebu and both wanted by the FBI for possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation materials.

Hontiveros thanked the Bureau of Immigration for the prompt action and stood that the country will not become a ‘playground’ for foreign pedophiles.
