Mark Rhea

Mark Rhea has been actively organizing efforts to aid Filipino families and individuals since 2006, focusing on direct assistance such as providing groceries, rice, cash money, and medical aid. Between 2018 and 2024, he reached out to more than one thousand families and individuals one at a time, delivering tangible help including:

Delivering food supplies and cash aid.
Supporting small startup businesses for families.
Facilitating access to clinics, hospitals, and dental care.
Building houses and community infrastructure such as communal bathrooms and deep wells.
Running feeding programs, community pantries, and weekend schools for children.

He documents his efforts through videos and uploads them on YouTube to raise social awareness and show donors where their contributions go. His fundraising efforts have been conducted through GoFundMe campaigns and managed transparently with audits and tax reporting. Although based physically in Los Angeles, California, Mark sends funds and aid directly to the Philippines through money remittance channels. After a brief retirement from this work in late 2024, Mark resumed his outreach program in early 2025, motivated by his ongoing commitment to helping Filipino grassroots communities
