Henry (Reekay) Velez is a divorced (twice)Californian in his early 50s of Mexican descent who moved permanently to Philippines 5 years ago. He initially followed his Filipina GF, who he met in California, to Cebu City, but the relationship didn’t work out. He has also concentrated on dating very young girls, from poverty areas in Bohol and Dumaguete, and this has brought many failed relationships. He has found incompatibility, maturity and cultural issues.
He’s been looking for young women who are set on not having children in the future. He has received heavy criticism on his YouTube channel for dating girls so young that their appearances resemblance 12 or 13 year old girls.
His first 2 or 3 years in Philippines were spent mainly around creating video blogs concerning on how to attract/have relationships with Filipinas. I believed he has a good understanding of the culture and has helped and guided many foreigners on moving to Philippines and how to deal with romantic relationships.
He has battled with the image of being a sexpat because the number of relationships and the age of the girls he has dated.
I’ve found his treatment of women to be fair and straightforward, where, again, both parties benefit from having each other around.
He currently advises Foreigner on how to be a successful “bachelor” in Philippines via a private subscription to Patreon.
Conclusion.
Philippines is an environment where poverty drives many young girls to disregards age gaps of over 20, 30 years and form relationships with foreigners, who will support them financially as well as her extended family. Filipino males have a bad reputation in their own country; many are perceived as drinkers, gamblers and womanizers. These factors create almost a “perfect storm” that is exploited by both young girls and middle-aged Westerners.
Are we over judging these Americans? or perhaps we don’t want to recognize that there’s still a place on Earth where young Filipinas and middle age Westerners could live harmoniously and in a dignified way.

People ask me, “Why do you go after these vloggers, they don’t do anything wrong?” Well, there are kids who are hungry in the Philippines, people who have lost their jobs during scamdemic, and unnecessary deaths due to hunger. Then….. you got these grown ass men, with all their limbs, with the ability to work, who are begging for their coffee funds, bikini funds, pimping out impoverished women, sex courses on manipulating women, who don’t do a DAMN THING for the Filipino community. Delia B Martin. Married woman to Joseph Martin, an American 35 years her senior…… Henry Velez followed Delia to PH 2012. In other words, he became infatuated and made more out of their friendship than actually existed. Followed the girl here and was disappointed to find she wasn’t going to leave her husband for his broke ass. He always said she was a businesswoman with her own money. In fact, she owned multiple homes, etc. Translation: her husband had money and she knew the score. Leave him and have nothing. No girl is going to do that for Reekay’s sorry ass. Also, the story as he told it never seemed to confirm that they had, or didn’t have, a physical relationship. It strongly appeared she friend zoned him from the start. Gio, Carl, Brian and others who were in our circle all shook their heads when Reekay would often retell the stories of that girl and other girls who obviously placed him squarely in their friend zones. His other woman failures… April was another I know a Filipina Chona, another Duma girl, was one we knew he’d stay with, but everyone knew he was paying her.
