Randy Wilson and 1 other Arrested
MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is set to deport two foreigners arrested in operations in Pasig and Bulacan last month for violation of immigration laws.
BI intelligence division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. said Ghanian Benjamin Akomeah, 38, and American John Randall Wilson, 74, are facing deportation.
Akomeah was arrested last Nov. 9 in a condominium building in Pasig City.
He was the subject of a summary deportation order issued by BI’s board of commissioners, for being an undesirable alien and also found to be undocumented after having failed to present his passport or any immigration document.
Meanwhile, Immigration operatives, in coordination with the San Jose del Monte City Police Station and village officials, nabbed Wilson at a house in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan last Nov. 14.
He was the subject of a mission order issued by Commissioner Norman Tansingco.
He was reportedly found to be overstaying, and did not present his immigration documents, violating the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.
Wilson was said to be the subject of numerous complaints for allegedly posting videos of children on social media and several websites.
Upon arrest, both foreigners were subjected to RT PCR testing as part of the agency’s health protocols, and were transferred to its holding facility in Taguig City where they will temporarily remain until deportation. (PNA)
